Most disappointing vrbo experience ever!
I have used vrbo in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida and have never been disappointed until this experience. The cottage was suppose to have wifi, but the owner had it cut off to save money, but didn't let the company who manages know and didn't change their website to show this. There was suppose to be a full size pool table which wasn't there. The living room was suppose to have a gas fireplace which didn't work. The rental agency did send out their repair man, but he didn't know how to fix it. The agency did offer to send someone who works on fireplaces out, but at this point we were a little leary of the gas. To top it off when we got in the shower in our first night there was NO hot water! The rental agency sent the repair man back out the next morning and the breaker was turned off at the water heater. This cottage was perfect for us in every other way. We wanted to bring our dogs and they had a great front yard to run in and a screened in backporch for them to spend time on during the day. Unfortunately, there wasn't any chairs on the screened porch to sit and enjoy with the pups, but none were advertised. There was a great swing on the front porch to sit in though. The couch and recliner were very comfortable as was the bed. This cottage would have been perfect if it had the amenities it advertised, but no wifi was a big deal breaker for us and we wouldn't have chosen this cottage if we had known. On a positive note the rental agency that cares for the cottage was very helpful and did all they could do to try to fix the wifi issue and gas fireplace. Unfortunately, this had made me leary of vrbo and I will be much more careful when and if I book again. Sincerely, Pam Banks
