Relaxing vacation at the lake!
This house is wonderfully located on Lake Lanier. You can walk out from the bottom floor right onto the deck/dock area and jump in the lake. There is a sandy area that kept the 2 youngest members of our group busy for hours. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs one of which was perfect for the 3 children in our group ages 6, 7, and 13 to share. The house had a very nice floor plan and open space main living area consisting of the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The kitchen could use some more cooking utensils, such as more than 1 skillet, and perhaps update the TV's throughout the house. There is a horseshoe pit but the yard had not been mowed when we were there so we didn't use it. Overall, this was a FANTASTIC house and we had a great time. There are many outdoor activities to do - we hiked at Pearson Falls and Chimney Rock; both of which were absolutely beautiful! There is a grocery nearby so you can pick up food and supplies easily. We also visited Downtown Greenville which was very nice! There is a great toy store there - OP Taylors (I think) and Mast General Store which was fantastic. There is also a children's museum if you need something to do on a rainy day. We tried to go to the Greenville Zoo but it was closed due to damage caused by a bad storm and flooding.
The Boathouse is located in a secluded cove on Lake Lanier .
