My Time Away
I really got away! As hectic as our jobs and everyday life can be, I had long yearned for a time when I could get away from it all - alone - just me, to reflect on the great life I have! Our son attended the Middlebury Language immersion program this summer. While I was out running through the Wasatch Back Mountains in Utah, my husband accompanied Matt to the school. I got to pick him up (He's in High School). So I booked this quiet, quaint, lovely cottage for a few days. It is straight up exactly how it's described. It was cozy, comfy, and very beautiful. I spent very little time inside because the yard, deck and surrounding areas are so beautiful! I was quite surprised at how beautiful Vermont is. The hosts, Victor & Sally were great. I wish I could have stayed longer! My son informed me he will be applying to Middlebury for College - guess where I'll be staying when I visit? The lake was beautiful throughout the day, the kayak and canoe are easily accessible. There is a small deck that I sat on for hours and just watch the birds, squirrels, chipmonks, and other beautiful things. I sat on the lakeshore one day and soaked up the sun! Neighbors are wonderful, house is wonderful - ALL GOOD!
