Great views but all the little extras were thoughtful.
The place was rather easy to find and the views were fabulous. The entry offered easy access for unloading. Once we figured out which light switch operated what and got settled in, we found so many unexpected little extras. From the broad library and games to ready to use ice cubes. Even the corners were clean. The beds were comfortable and our stay was much more pleasant and relaxing than having to stay at one of the local hotels where they have to lug their bags from the parking lot across the street. Access to main street is a moderate staircase, partially constructed by the WPA. The local food is decadent, so the stairs help one burn off those extra calories. The information book appeared to be a bit outdated, the emergency contact stated she no longer held the position. However a call to the owner (after hours) did get a prompt response within 20 minutes. I appreciated the book on the San Pedro River, it is a short drive away and well worth the visit. Unfortunately a previous guest had a few spills and the high traffic area was covered by a carpet. The carpets were in need of a good cleaning but they were well vacuumed. The dishes were not very clean and had to be washed before using (dish washing responsibility belongs to the guest who used the dish). Other than the space heater in the add on bath/laundry room, the only heat was the gas fire place which was not operating during our stay. Directions were attached to the appliance and difficult to read inside the hearth. It could have been lit using a match but there were no matches so we made due with cozy blankets instead. There is so much potential in this little cottage with a little work it could be spectacular. This is my first time using VRBO so I am not sure about the hold time for the completion of the transaction.
Stunning views, steps to Main Street. Family and pet-friendly. Wi-fi and parking
