We're from the west coast and came to visit our son on his spring break from UVM. The house was as described and there were no surprises. Check in was easy and Phil was keen to answer all our questions about the area. It was nice that Phil had a welcome basket with coffee, a bottle of wine, banana bread and other stuff from the gas station down the road to greet us. The gas station has a ton of pre-prepared meals that are homemade and made the stay easier. So the house is beatiful and really well kept. The furniture is new, floors are spotless and everything is clean. Beds are comfortable and linens high quality. One of my pet peeves is renting a million dollar house with cheap sheets that keep me scratchy all night. Not the case here. My son and his friends took the bunk room and the adults took the master and the guest room. No complaints from anyone! The house is isolated and quiet. No cars, no people, no noise. The night sky is amazing with the milky way spread out over a billion miles. We went to North Hero House for dinner and it was lovely. Nice people, friendly service, good food. A little pricey though for country fare. I would definitely recommend this place without reservation. Although it's a little pricier, we found it worth the price, and in the past when we went for the cheaper options, we always regretted it because the rentals were cheap for a reason.
