It was a great visit for my young family and I, with lots to do right there on the property, but I think there would be many who would have a hard time staying here. First of all, you need to know you are staying in someone's backyard. The house is a good 100 yards away but that was not something that was clear to me before booking. It wasn't very clean, there was dried food on the ground, cobwebs, flies, the dishes were not as clean as I would have liked (NO DISHWASHER either), and the silverware tray was pretty dirty. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, soap silt running down the shower wall, dirt accumulation on the walls/doors etc. It was clean enough for me and 4 kids for a weekend, but I was repeatedly surprised by the level of cleanliness. Just not what I've grown to expect from VRBO's. Also, the kayaking pond was SUPER gross! A bubbly brown film covering the water, 2 dead fish floating around... I was scared to touch that water! The lifejackets were strewn all over the ground, my daughter got several bites picking one up. I'm making it sound so bad, but it didn't ruin our weekend. My kids braved the nasty pond because the lure of the kayaks was just too much, and they loved it. We swam in the pool (RIGHT next to the owner's house so be prepared for that, that was a little uncomfortable for me), and loved it, went horseback riding and loved it. My kids loved the bunkbed only sleeping and like I said, it worked just fine for me. But I KNOW there are people it would have really grossed out. Just so you know what you're getting yourself into!
