Cabin was clean and well stocked.
Upon arriving at the cabin on Monday, we noticed the electrical outlets in the living room, dining room and Master bath did not work. The lights in the dining room didn't work. We notified the owner of these issues and were assured that he would get someone out to handle the problem. On Tuesday, we received word from the owner that he had been unable to get a handyman out to address our problems, but would try and have someone out Tuesday. No luck. We were contacted by the owner on Wednesday and informed he was unable to have anyone to come out until Friday, (we were leaving on Thursday.) We were unable to have light in the dining room unless we brought a lamp from a bedroom and plugged it into a receptacle in the kitchen area. The kitchen area had light and electricity; however, at night it was not enough light to eat by. We were unable to use the receptacles in the living room or dining room area. According to the owner, the cause of the issues was a tripped GFI receptacle that took "all of 30 seconds" to correct. If only someone could have spared the 30 seconds needed during our stay, we would have been happy. Our original plan was to buy groceries and eat at the cabin rather than going to restaurants for every meal. We purchased the groceries including ingredients for hot dogs. We had planned to use the outdoor gas grill, but it looked as if it had been a while since it had been cleaned. We were unable to use the grill. I will say the cabin was nice and clean, but the issues with the electricity severely diminished our enjoyment. Based on the cost of the cabin, we expected much more.
