Horrible management experience
This cottage has a lot of potential. We rented the cottage while it was in between owners. We were very excited about a cottage that would be able to host our group of 16. When we arrived at the cottage, it smelled badly. We quickly opened all the windows. The floors were dirty with crumbs. The refrigerator was dirty. We didn't mind though because we are not overly picky. Upon leaving, the guestbook noted that a previous renter had just left the day before and they had a pet with them during their stay. This probably explains why the place was not cleaned properly. The details do say there is no AC but just a warning to future visitors, there is not much air circulation in the house. The nights were pretty warm and uncomfortable. We were there in August when it was hot. There was a fan in each of the two upstairs bedrooms but one of them did not work. The house is very big but we did not hang out in the basement because it was not very comfortable down there. It looked like the previous families did not hang out there as well because there were spiderwebs on the chairs down there. The wifi did not always work. The showers were difficult to figure out and the temperature of the water was not consistent. This property lists four kayaks for use. Two of them had holes on the bottom and were useless. I would suggest walking through and reporting any damages to the property manager immediately. From our personal experience, we failed to do this and was penalized for damage that was out of our control. I think this experience was isolated. I think future families would have a great time at this cottage. I would love to rent here again but unfortunately my experience with the management was not very good.
