Spend Your Money Elsewhere
The property is nice, but having to deal with the property manager, Lisa, made for a terrible experience. Upon arrival the "free WiFi" advertised was not working. When we contact Lisa, she stated Comcast left a notice on the door that we needed to contact them within 48 hours as they were having service issues. First off I believe it should be the property manager's responsibility to fix the issue. Lisa then asked if someone could be at the property between 1-4 pm to meet with the Comcast service person. We were on vacation and don't want to wait around for the internet guy! When we told Lisa she needed to be available to meet the Comcast person she was less than trilled and placed the blame on us for not contacting Comcast immediately upon arrival. The private hot tub is nice, but was disgusting and full of grime and dirt all over the bottom. Sitting in the seats felt like sitting in a sandbox. The humidifiers barely worked and the filters were covered in dirt and mold. Lisa told us she would bring replacements, but that never happened. Also good luck on getting a warm shower. The hot water lasts for about 10 minutes so if you are not the first one in then I hope you are okay with cold showers when it's 0 degrees outside. On our last night, the Carbon Monoxide detector starting going off at about 5 a.m. It was chirping like the battery needed to be replaced. We called Lisa with no answer. She called back about 5 minutes later and suggested we call the Fire Department. The Fire Department told us we needed to wait outside until they arrived. The Fire Department advised that the detector was extremely outdated and needed to be replaced. They replaced the batteries with their own personal batteries from their flashlights because the townhouse did not have any. The detector continued to chirp even with new batteries (because it was old) so we placed it in the garage. When we brought our concerns to Lisa about how unsatisfied we were with a few things, she was anything but apologetic. She continued to put the blame on us by saying we weren't use to the Colorado weather/altitude and we should have brought our own batteries and should have called Comcast when we arrived to setup a service appointment if we wanted WiFi. Overall terrible! We are not a hard family to please and just ask for basic courtesy and respect. You definitely won't get that from Lisa. You have so many lodging choices in Breck. Save your money and sanity and DON'T STAY AT THIS ONE!!
