Two of us stayed in this studio unit for three nights. The owners were very easy to coordinate with - we texted to find a good check-in time etc. The family has a large house on the property, as well as some other buildings, and you reach the studio and the other larger rental unit (they are attached) via a long driveway. The property is gated, so along with a key you are provided an opener to the gate. It felt very safe. Be aware that the family has a few dogs. I love dogs, so no issues there, but others might not. We found the unit to be quite nice and pretty comfortable, with the exception of the bed. The mattress was very hard and we were both tossing and turning some at night. Also, each morning there was a lot of loud activity outside - seemed like property improvement projects, etc. We were not able to sleep in, which is a bummer when you're on vacation, but it did get us up and about. Another bummer when you're on vacation is the need to occasionally work, which I had to do, but the wifi signal was very weak. (If a project that I was expecting had come in, I would have gone to the coffee shop in Waialua, but luckily it did not - yay!) Ultimately, if you will need a lot of online access, this is probably not the best option for you. Overall, pretty nice spot but just be aware of those couple of nits.
