Rustic Cabin on a beautiful piece of property. Sit on the porch and watch the sun rise. Take a walk along paths to a waterfall and creek that runs through the property. Fire pit in the back for roasting those Smores from the owners. We did not get a chance to enjoy the fire pit, but the kids ate the treats anyways. There are two pull out couches, each kid slept on one and us parents slept upstairs in the loft. Very comfortable bed upstairs with plenty of blankets to keep us warm. The weekend we were there it was mid-march and still in the 30's at night. Heavy Rain Showers made lots of noise from the tin roof and the wind knocking the two large trees out front made lots of noise. Last night with no rain and no wind was very peacefull. Plenty of heaters throughout the house, ample blankets plus the wood stove kept us warm. Showers were tough for the four of us because water heater is small and does not hold much hot water. Small two burner stove with all pots and pans needed for the weekend getaway. Coffee - Bring those coffee/tea cups. Toaster oven was provided as well. Cabin has TV along with DVD player. We did not use this much at all so can't comment on cable or satellite. No Wi-Fi but this was not a problem for us and we enjoyed being a bit unplugged for the weekend. Dog Friendly place and the owners and neighbors dogs come to visit and play. Dogs were friendly! but neighbors dog was a bit protective of Oreo (Owners dog) and the porch with our dog around. There is an old international harvestor tractor rusted out in the trees and an old horse drawn hay chopper from the 1900's. Neat stuff if your into historical farm equipment.
