We spent 7 nights here in early January, with a total of 5 people. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house and all it has to offer. As others have mentioned, this house allows for individuals or small groups to spread out and have their own space. After a long day of snorkeling we came home and spread out to all areas to read or nap and it was wonderful. The pictures online are very realistic with the gorgeous artwork, living room, kitchen and bedrooms. The only difference and slight disappoint was the pool - it does not look like the picture above as it is not an in ground pool and the deck doesn't go up and over the edges like in the picture. Also, it is not heated and actually quite cold - but at the end of the day we all used it and enjoyed it on the hot days. The decking is in great shape, but some of the chairs were torn, but overall the entire house is in terrific condition and really is beautiful. The house notes left by Ed mention ants, and yes, there were ants - they were very tiny though, but you really do have to clean up and not leave anything on the kitchen counters. Not a big deal at all, after all this is the tropics. All the geckos outside were entertaining as well. We never got to meet Ed, but George came by a couple of times and he was very nice. The location is good if you want quiet - it ends up being about 4-5 miles south of downtown Kona. Close enough but you will need a car. The bay that is only a couple blocks away didn't look like we could swim in it with "private property - no trespassing" signs and some boat traffic; but it made for a great running route along the shore. The booking process went smooth and Ed answered all the questions I had - overall I would definitely recommend this house.
