Great location, cleanliness was disappointing and owner response was even worse
This is our 4th time staying in the Maui Vista complex. We love the location with walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and other activities. The unit itself was disappointing. When we got there the bathroom as not clean. The toilet bowl itself was clean but under the seat and around the bowl was not clean (I have photos). There was also hair in the shower drain and in the corners of the room. I reached out to Sebastian and he told me that he had been there at noon and the place was clean. So clearly they have a different definition of clean than I do. Then I asked for some spare bulbs for the kitchen light fixture, I was directed to the bathroom for spares but those were regular light bulbs and the kitchen fixture uses LED light bulbs. So for two weeks we had little light in the kitchen. Lastly, there is only one key to the unit. Which was the most inconvenient. You need the key to get in and out of the pool area. So if you and your spouse or travel companion head down together, one wants to leave first, they have to go back to the unit, unlock the door, come back down, give the person who is by the pool the key and then go back to the unit. If one person wants to go shopping the other person to the beach, you only have one key so you need to coordinate arrival times. It was a HUGE inconvenience to us. I have never seen this before, usually you unlock the door with the key from the lockbox, return the key to the lockbox and the unit has a pair of keys in the unit. We asked around the pool, nobody had ever heard of this sort of thing before. The biggest issue, was the bad attitude from the owners when we reached out with our concerns. They were dismissive and not helpful at all. I would never recommend anyone to stay there.
