Great Valentine's Stay!
It's tough to say any more than has already been said. Gino's cabin is as advertised. My girlfriend and I (along with our 11-month old Husky) stayed at his cabin for two nights over Valentine's Day weekend. We arrived in the afternoon to a very clean cabin with all the amenities we needed. Gino and his puppy Django greeted us warmly upon our arrival. He showed us around and made sure we had everything we needed. He had cut wood for the fireplace prepared, fresh flowers inside, and a bottle of champagne with two glasses chilling in the refrigerator for us - a great touch to kick off the Valentine's weekend. The queen-sized bed was comfortable. The decoration of the home is very "old west" and gorgeous. The location was excellent. Although Gino's house, as well as some neighboring houses are close by, there are plenty of trees and distance to make it feel very private. The backyard of the cabin is National Forest, and one need only walk through the gate to enjoy and explore it. We were able to let our dog off the leash, and as Gino likes to say, it's a dog's nirvana. We went on a great hike through the pines. At night, the stars were some of the best I've ever seen. The silence, other than the wind through the trees, was exactly what we were hoping for. Gino was very helpful and friendly, inviting us over during a party with some of his friends for a drink and to see his beautiful self-built home. He didn't even mind when our puppy found her way through his doggie door one morning and into his home. We had a wonderful, fun and romantic weekend at Gino's cabin, and we can't wait to return. Thanks, Gino!
