Relaxed, cozy house
Loved this place! We are a group of Swedish entrepreneurs who came to San Diego for a business trip and spent some great weeks in this small but surprisingly spacious house. We sat up office in the empty living room. Perfect for some serious crunching time! Ed, the owner, is friendly and helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. He was very flexible with booking and all arrangements. He is upfront, honest and clear in his communication. The house has beautiful floors, a nice kitchen and a super cozy little sofa/love seat. All beds are very comfy, and both bathrooms in great condition. The backyard is small but fits at least 5 people for a barbecue! Also, the humming birds and the redwood tree is a neat combo and makes relaxing in the sunshine a great experience :) The area is great - we've been getting by without a car (borrowed one when we needed larger-scale grocery shopping). There are plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. We especially want to highlight Cantina Mayahuel for dinner, Adams grill for lunch and Parkhouse Eatery for weekend brunches - and Triple Crown pub for late night shuffleboard, foosball and other fun games! The property is well maintained, yet not so polished that we felt uncomfortable. Relaxed atmosphere and we definitely felt at home right away.
