Lots of character.
This home was built in the late 1920's and is huge. The quarters where the VRBO could very well have been the maids quarters in the back of the house with its own back entrance, bathroom. The home has almost all of the original details like the sash windows, crystal door knobs, oak flooring ect. The bathroom looks like it has the original tile but it was in such pristine condition I couldn't see how that was possible but maybe they just had better materials and craftsmen in those days. There was tons of storage and the king size bed with down comforter was very comfortable. We could hear some footsteps from the floor above but very very quiet other than that considering we where in the middle of Los Angeles, it was a little oasis of quiet, with a good size backyard with privacy fences and very tall hedges. The owner left a little cooler on our back step in the morning with a very nice continental breakfast both mornings we were there, very nice. There is no food preparation ability whatsoever except coffee. We packed the 2 1/2 days we were there with tickets to the live taping of "Americas Got Talent" , very fun. We went to the J Paul Ghetty Museum, amazing! Walked Hollywood's walk of fame, grungy but interesting. Traffic ? Horrible, horrible, horrible. We really enjoyed ourselves though and will go back and stay there again.
