Spring Break trip to Maui
What we were looking for: My boyfriend and I chose to visit Maui at the end of March 2017 and while looking for somewhere to stay on a budget, found Debra's unit. We were wanting to be able to cook our own food to save on eating out, and liked the idea of a more localized experience rather than a corporate type hotel that would be extremely expensive and a basic room with minimal amenities. What we thought of the condo: Both of us loved the condo! I would stay here again 1,000 times if I could- it was in a great location, being 5 minutes away from the beach and very close to many shops and the central highway to access the entire island. The condo itself was very clean, and fully stocked with kitchen utilities. The bathroom had a cabinet to store our belongings which made keeping all of our stuff organized, very easy. There were also beach chairs and snorkeling sets (2) that was a nice addition. We ended up keeping the front door open with the metal mesh door closed, and had to put a towel at the bottom of the door because a few times lizards found their way in under the door, haha. The ad on Debra's listing was all true- this condo is wonderful and we had no problems with it. The complex was very quiet and easy to find your way around in. It is on the ground floor so it would also be a good fit for anyone that has a hard time going up and down stairs. Advice for traveling to Maui: If I could offer any advice for what to do while in Maui (if you're staying at this condo), pack a dinner and take it to the beach to watch the sunset. Turn left when you see the Napili Shores sign, park and walk down the mini alley to the beach. It's a fun way to spend the evening. Leoda's Kitchen and Pie shop was our favorite local spot. It's about 20 minutes away from the condo and makes for the perfect way to end the day. We stopped here every single day, and now I'm working on burning off all the pie. But seriously, go and get the Pineapple Mac Nut pie! It's amazing. We spent the money to do a Pride of Maui snorkeling trip and it was a ton of fun. We also enjoyed the Maui Gold Pineapple Plantation tour, Paia, of course beach days. I'm so happy I brought my GoPro- our second day snorkeling at Napili Ridge, we got within a foot of 4 sea turtles and it was unbelievable. In closing: If you're looking for a quaint and comfortable spot to stay while in Maui, I highly recommend using Debora's condo. It was one of the best choices I made while planning our trip!
