Right on the ocean
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this location. We were able to head North to Carpinteria and Santa Barbara easily as well as South to Ventura. My wife loves the beach and this spot has a good one. There are a few things you need to know though. First, this house is right on the water, you might even say in the water. When the tide is high there is no beach, the water hits the seawall behind the house, so we had to plan our activities around the tides. Also, when the tide is high the waves crash into the seawall and can shake the house a bit. So, if you like hearing the crash of the surf this is a good spot, if it unnerves you though maybe not so much. We brought our dog with us to this location and it was great when we could walk on the beach. When the tide is high there are not really any places to walk him. The front of the house is on Highway 1 which can be somewhat busy. The owners of the house live next door and are quite nice and very responsive. During our stay there were some lights that didn't work in the kitchen and Judy came over and changed the bulbs. The lights continued to act strangely - suddenly turning off and then back on again at 10 minute intervals. I think they were getting an electrician to come over so this should be fixed.
