Great location, awesome ammenities and amazing host!!
February 11th to February 18th. We spent two weeks in Hawaii (half the time on Kauai and half the time on the Big Island) and stayed at 3 different VRBO properties during that time and Kathy's place was by far our favorite experience. Kathy went above and beyond what any other host did and went out of her way (even when going on a vacation of her own) to make our stay perfect. When weather at home messed up our travel plans and delayed our flights she was very accommodating and worked with us and vrbo to adjust our stay. She also got us breakfast for a couple days when she found out that our flights were delayed which helped out tremendously since no stores were open once we finally got to Kauai. She left us other treats as well like chocolates, mac nuts and alocohol! The room had everything you could need without actually having a kitchen (microwave, larger fridge and freezer, toaster, blender) which allowed us to make a lot of meals at home and save money. She had plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash for us and a cabinet full of things like bug spray, lotion, medication, aloe vera and so much more. It was like a little drug store that she provides her guests, the itch relief stick was especially appreciated! There was all the beach stuff you could need like chairs, an umbrella, tons of snorkel gear, beavh mats and a cooler! When we couldn't get our safe open she came down to the resort to work with security to get it open for u which was also something she didn't have to do but took the time to do for us. She had someone come to do a complementary cleaning mid week which was much appreciated for getting fresh towels and a tidy room. Kathy also has a ton of info in the room aand sent us a lot of recommendations on things to do on the island which we really loved. The resort itself was also wonderful, there were many activites like lei making and a hula show. We used the pool, hot tub and huge fireplace almost every night after long hikes on the island. There is a couple resturants and a pool side bar with a great happy hour and a fun shave ice/ ice cream bar. There were tennis courts and grills also available. The resort is super close to the airport (10 minute drive) and in a good location for getting to both the north and south shores. It's also a 12 minute drive to the town Kapa'a which has a lot of cute shops and cafes. I could go on and on about our stay here. Mahalo for everything Kathy!!
