Just Wonderous & Beautiful.
"When I think of home, I think of a place"......you know the rest of this song. The pictures really are beautiful but...you have to just go and be in this place, in this space, and truly just take in every single bit of soul fulfilling ambiance you can muster from it! Oh beautiful for spacious skies when standing in the front yard surrounded by Pines! It was awe inspiring to feel protected by the tall pines surrounding the beauty of the property & Cabin. The first thing we heard when we stepped onto the property was the sound of the running river and I smiled I remember, at the aspect of being lulled to sleep peacefully by it's melodic like sounds. I would later find out via journey down the stair walkway leading to the river that it flowed over it's own natural made foundation which also consisted of boulders that helped contribute to the sound. Wanna talk cozy? Cuddle up w/your sweetie, offspring, or four legged pal in any one of the adorable sleeper rooms, or just stay downstairs in the comfort of warmth, atmosphere, and light illuminating from the fireplace, a beauty once you've gotten a good spark off dry pieces of wood & kindling. It rained President's Day Weekend for us. The kitchen amenities could not be beat either! I love the simple things in life, so the coffee maker was awesome, as was my first time ever experience cooking on a flat top stove. Such even heat and now I think I want a front load washer & dryer. So nice of the owners to help me relax when returning home by not having to launder packing. In the early morning hours on the 18th, the pines and property gave a gift of the sight of snow covered pine and property which remained for a day of our stay! Neither my guy or I had seen snow in quite a while, and gave a bit of room for some harmless playtime. The tree house mentioned was outlined in snow, otherwise I'd have missed it as it also seemed secluded upon arrival. There was a power outage due to weather conditions, roads had been plowed for driving access but we loved it still, taking the drive to the general store to get firewood where a very friendly proprietor Steve, loaded up the trunk of our vehicle with some semi- wet wood, enough to eventually create a cozy fire. ( We left some dry wood too ) We would definitely go back to "heaven a couple hours drive from home" for us. Feel free to enjoy the Reunite` Lambrusco that was left behind & make a toast to your getting away, & best Home Away From Home Ever! Loved it!
