We had an extended stay at the cabin in winter, while we were both finishing big work projects, and it was indeed perfectly quiet and without any distraction. Since our stay fell over Christmas, we got a tree, and at night, with the lights on and the fireplace lit and the snow falling, it was a lovely winter wonderland. One day we drove half an hour north and hopped on a piece of the Appalachian Trail, which is quite easily accessible from the cabin, and was a great walk. Driving to and from the cabin itself was full of mountain views and scenery in any direction. Even during a two months' stay, we didn't really have any problems, and I wouldn't expect anyone else to, either; in any case, for any small thing, the property owner was extremely responsive if we ever needed her.
