We really enjoyed our stay. We had our 16-yr.-old grandson with us and he enjoyed learning the basics of playing pool when we were "home" in the evenings. We should have taken bug repellent the time we visited the dock. I'm used to the big mosquitoes on the Shore, but I guess these were what is called 'no-see-ums' because we certainly didn't see what was biting us. It was good to see all the ospreys. I believe they were close to endangerment at one time when I was growing up, but no longer. The drive to and from Cambridge and points beyond was always interesting. Our favorite wildlife encounter was with a sika deer which posed for us, then pronked (like an antelope or alpaca) across the field towards a wild turkey. Saw a couple of bald eagles also. I would like to come here sometime when the waterfowl are migrating. We went to Old Salty's for supper. They actually have great crabcakes. This coming from one who is very picky about them. These are as good as homemade.
