Has Potential but Needs Work
The location of this property near Lake Washington and the outdoor deck with the stellar view are what earned the two stars. There was also plenty of space for the 6 people we had. So, why only two stars? Three basic categories: Items Missing - There were no forks in the silverware drawer, which we discovered after ordering pasta for dinner. It is very challenging to eat spaghetti with a spoon. - There were no washcloths provided - There were only two hand towels, one for each bathroom. We originally thought there was only one but later discovered the other one in the dryer. Items That Are Broken - The railing on the stairs was loose - The kitchen table top was loose from the bottom, possibly not connected at all - One of the wine glasses had a crack in it Comfort and Cleanliness - The beds were so horrible that I slept on the couch instead (which was actually quite comfortable. - The bed on the main floor made so much noise that I woke up every time my husband or I moved (the first night before I moved to the couch. - One of the beds downstairs was "taco bed" - i.e., the two people sleeping in it got rolled to the middle. - While the couches were comfortable for most of us, my 66-year-old dad couldn't sit on them because they were too low to the ground and he didn't think he'd be able to get back up. Nothing against the place but something to consider if you have older people with you. - There were ants everywhere - There were roaches downstairs; we went out and bought ant traps and roach traps and put them everywhere I am writing this in the hopes that the owner will fix these things because, as I said, it has great potential just because of its location.
