This is a very charming 2-BR house with a full bath. The property and grounds are well kept and up to date. The back yard is huge and very nice. There's even a clothes line if you wish to hang a few items. The house is directly across a quiet street from a golf course, but we still saw the sunset over Lake Michigan between the trees. Nicely appointed kitchen, a separate eating area with windows facing the lake and patio doors at the rear, making for a nice breeze. The living room is enormous, and is nicely furnished with a large sectional, a couch, and two large chairs. It has large beautiful windows and nice air flow. Though the central AC works great, we only had it on for our arrival. After that, the place was comfy with only the windows open. Full unfinished basement with washer and dryer. All floors are either wood or tile, with some throw rugs in the bedrooms. This alleviates dander problems from other dogs. Though I have a low-dander dog, other places with dogs give me problems. This place did not. On our 2nd day there, we returned from a day at the beach south of Ludington just in time for a huge storm. There were high winds and hail, but we managed to weather it in the attached garage watching the rain (once the wind and hail let up so it wasn't blowing in!). The garage has a rear service door, so the cross breeze is also nice in there if you do catch rain. This same storm devastated Sleeping Bear Dunes and the town of Glen Arbor. This is a nice house, and is highly recommended. We'd stay again. PS - Manistee is a short drive from Ludington, and not very far from Sleeping Bear Dunes.
