Realistically couldn't have been better
Most importantly, Chris the owner, is fantastic to work with. From booking through getting our damage deposit back he was super prompt. My take is the house was completely renovated in the last couple of years. Every room feels brand new. The upper floor's wide open floor plan is tremendous for a bigger group like ours. All of the natural light and windows facing the lake make you feel as though you are floating. The upper porch is good though a bit narrow for a larger group to be out there at the same time. The kids room and the other bedroom are plenty big and next to the kitchen is kind of a butler's pantry that has tons of extra storage for the kitchen (kitchen is well stocked for cooking). Downstairs has the pool table, foos ball table and a great sitting area all facing the lake. The two bedrooms downstairs are huge as is the bathroom. The laundry room has a futon bed. It is also stocked with all kinds of water gear. The lakeside grassy area just flows to the sand/pebble beach and dock. The house is spotless. It is clearly loved and taken care of. For our group of 10 it had plenty of room both inside and out. The house is the perfect size for 3 families to meet up or in our case more of a family reunion. Having a boat/seedoo allows you to take advantage of a terrific gem of a lake (we rented one). I really couldn't recommend this property enough. We've gone through home away, flip key, vrbo, arbnb and I generally feel that the rentals are close but not quite what I expected. This lake house was exactly what I expected and a little more. We will be renting it again.
