Solid condo in the heart of downtown Kona
This property was a great home base for touring around the Kailua-Kona area. From the outside the property doesn't look like anything special, but the loft style second floor and well equipped kitchen really made this the perfect fit for my family getaway. We really enjoyed the use of the beach equipment and the open lanai. I was a bit unsure about the fact that there is AC only in the main floor bedroom, but the circulation from all the windows kept things nice and comfortable. A couple small things that kept me from giving this property a five star review: apparently they only provide a minimum amount of trash bags and toilet paper for guests, so it's up to you to buy anything else you need — this is totally ridiculous. I've never stayed at a property that expected me to refill simple consumables, even in the cheapest of accommodations. Also, the table and chairs on the lanai are comically large for the space, and I had to perform acrobatics to get to a seat on the far side, only to sit so low that I felt like I was at the kids table. A table half the size would've been more functional! Outside of this, it was a solid property.
