Royal Palms Estate
This home is located within walking distance of the historic Royal Palms Hotel in Phoenix. The neighborhood is within the older historic district of Phoenix and is centrally located to pretty much everything in the metropolitan area. The neighborhood is undergoing transformation in that some of the older homes are being raised and new mansions are being built in their place. There are two such homes being constructed next to this home. The house was apparently built in the 1960's and recently underwent a major renovation. The feeling first seeing the home is that of encountering the old Southwest. The home is very much similar to the Royal Palms and represents the grand old days with a modern finish. We arrived in the evening with the lights on and the fireplace in the living area glowing. The music was emanating from the direct TV in each room. We were comprised of four older children and three adults so all explored and identified our rooms. Each room was special and spacious - from the master to the bunk room. The colors represent the true Southwest - tile floors and natural wall tones. The kitchen was well equipped for a quick meal before bed. Upon awakening the next morning and each day thereafter, the view of Camelback mountain was ever present. Unfortunately, due to the cool weather, less time was spent outdoors on the comfortable appearing furniture and outdoor table. Also, the pool was too cold due to frosty outdoor temps. We all look forward to returning one day to enjoy the outdoor surroundings of the home. The outdoor shower and bathroom looked inviting to everyone! We have stayed at multiple Homeaway homes and own a high-end Homeaway home and would recommend this highly. The owner is very interested in making sure that everyone is happy and even the neighbor treated us as if we were long time friends. This is the Royal Palms level estate. Highly Recommend!
