Great location, Great Resort- Condo not so much!
Unfortunately, the best that can be said about this condo was the location. We arrived early after driving all night, Friday night and were lucky enough to run into the property manager at around 9:30. he gave us passes to the resort and said that once the cleaning staff had finished he would let us know. We wanted to see the room so we stopped by and there was a horrible smell coming from the room. But we attributed it to the cleaning staff not having turned the unit over yet. We went to the pool and enjoyed swimming for some time. When we checked back the room had been cleaned and was surface clean but the awful smell remained. The Property manager was there and he smelled it as well. I went to Wal-mart and purchased everything from scented candles, to carpet refresher to febreze plug ins. While this improved the smell it did not remove it. The carpets and drapes were very worn and dirty as were the couches. No amount of fabric refresher could eliminate, what we referred to as "The Beast". We love MB resort and have stayed in 5 seasons section for many years. Never had a smell like this in all the years. The furniture was definitely outdated and the drawers in the master bedroom did not close. We knew when we booked there must have been something wrong as the price was very reasonable compared to other units in the same location. we adapted to the situation and enjoyed our stay, but would not book this condo again. I would recommend having the curtains , carpets steam cleaned. And consider getting new couches or having them steam cleaned as well.
