Picturesque Northern AZ Trip
We just stayed in the cabin this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about how soon we can go back! There were four in our group (two couples, late 20s and early 30s). The views in the cabin were great! We kepts the windows open all night and heard Elk calls! Saturday began with coffee on the upper balcony and a view of trees and mountains that looked like it was printed from a postcard. We hiked in search of geocaches and scenery and were not disappointed! Then we headed up to the Fossil Creek Creamery where we loaded up on delicious fudge and some fig goat cheese for our dinner later in the evening. The drive back to the cabin was beautiful - we made a point to stop at an antique shop along the way! Excellent prices, service, and selection! We then headed to a local festival, fished at Woods Canyon Lake, and made it home to grill steaks, play cards, and enjoy the fire pit (and s'mores, of course) behind the cabin. Lisa has stocked the home with everything you will need! While we had packed all of our supplies, it was nice to see a selection of commonly forgotten items available, if needed. There was toothpaste, cleaning supplies, coffee and tea, and even toys, games, and equipment in the basement! There is also a great hammock stand that we wish we had time to use! The only thing I would change about our weekend is the length of time we stayed- if only it could be longer! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us and other travelers to come.
