Quiet Family Get Away
My family stayed at the cabin over the 2016 Memorial Day weekend to visit the Cherokee Indians Fading Voices festival and to just get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin is well stocked, clean and the owners called us throughout our stay to ensure we were happy. My five year old son practiced casting in the river on the backside of the property, while I went off and tried my luck fly fishing. The trout did not disappoint. Our two year old daughter loved eating smores at the firepit. Both kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The stars and fireflies were something else. This place is remote enough to get away from it all, but close enough to Robbinsville (about 15 minutes) in case you need some supplies. It is also conveniently located to the Joyce Kilmer forest. The roads are all paved to get to the cabin and our minivan was more than enough vehicle to handle the terrain. Some of our friends showed up for the initial part of our stay, and the cabin had ample space for four adults and our two kids. My son is already asking when we can go back to the cabin (it hasn't even been a month). All in all, we had a pleasant time and would definitely stay here again.
