Luxury Camping in the Heart of Santa Cruz.
Spent a weekend and it was fabulous. It is a very cozy arraignment, on a rooftop overlooking the bay. Cozy for two, more would start to get crowded. The indoor area is a sun room with the usual amenities. Well supplied with incidentals. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The view from the outdoor bed is spectacular, the sun shade keeps you from burning and the constant sea breeze keeps it cool. Falling asleep to the roar of the surf is very pleasant. The camping aspect comes from the outdoor sing and outdoor shower (with hot water) and the RV chemical toilets in the bathroom. A patio umbrella links the sunroom to the bathroom. Solar and motion sensing lights to show the way on the patio at night. There are restaurants and shopping nearby, getting the fixings for a steak dinner was a snap, the gas grill cooked the steak to perfection. The local pizza joint was OK, and the Hole In The Wall was good. We tried the Mexican place twice, crowded and loud and the staff aloof from customers. Ice cream parlor was friendly and tasty. We wanted a beach vacation and I considered a condo right on the beach. After visiting the beach, this was a much better arrangement. All the pluses of the beach without the sand, sand flies, smell, dogs, and loud music on the actual beach. Worth every penny and we will be back.
