Beautiful Beach and Well Maintained Cottage -- We stayed for 9 nights in late September. The cottage itself is well-maintained, except that the washer was out of order, and we enjoyed the large well-equipped kitchen and dishwasher. The cottage is nicely laid out with the bedrooms and sun room separated from the main area. The outdoor lower decking is in need of replacement soon though, especially the wooden stairs leading down to the waterfront, and it would have been nice to have the option of a campfire at night. The wooden railing on the upper deck is not child-safe, so I would advise keeping a close watch on children to make sure they don't fall through. It's only about a 3' drop, but they could still get hurt. The waterfront is beautiful, with clear water and a sandy bottom out to the end of the dock. It was great to have western exposure on beautiful Haliburton Lake. All in all, it was a pleasant cottage experience.
