What a relaxing weekend!
My other half, our two dogs, and myself spent Valentine's weekend in the Rabbit Den at Bunnylane Cabins. This is the kind of place it is okay to feel lazy. The wind was a little crazy so we spent a lot of our time inside the cabin. There was no running water in the cabin itself (this is noted more than once on his website so we were prepared for the most part) so next time we might bring paper plates/bowls/silverware as it was a little difficult to wash dishes. We absolutely loved the two porches and spent a little time on both. Jeff, the owner, was very helpful in answering all of my preliminary questions via email (there is no wifi and barely any cell service out there by the way; we were okay with this!). When we got there to set up, the wood-burning stove was just perfect to heat the cabin, and did so very quickly. It was nice that Jeff had helpful hints around the cabin, definitely helped with using the stove for the first time as well as the radio. The cabins are spaced enough so that you feel like there are people there if you need them but we didn't see anyone else so it was very private as well. The water was turned on at the bathhouse maybe 50-60 feet from the front door of Rabbit Den so the shower was nice and hot! Jeff was very helpful with telling us where we could go up the road for target practice and we ended up finding St. Elmo down the road a few miles as well! The only negative part of our stay was that we had to leave! Thanks again Jeff!
