From CA and we stayed here for a weekend, visiting a friend that was in the hospital. Wish we could have stayed a week. The loft is a comfortable, well maintained, newly remodeled unit. The bed and sheets were comfy, soft and inviting. The towels were plush. The owner went out of her way to make sure our check in was smooth. Several text messages while we are on the road confirmed our stay and put me at ease that we had a place to stay. There is a restaurant and coffee place (not Starbucks) within easy walking distance from and the rest of Whiskey Row is just a tad bit farther, over all certainly walkable to downtown. Bummed we didn't eat at the nearby restaurant and tried to stop at the coffee place on the way out of town on Sunday morning but they weren't open yet. We had breakfast downtown at the Lone Spur Cafe and dinner at Murphy's. Both were good choices, but the dinner at Murphy's was outstanding! And when we left the restaurant there was a beautiful sunset to enjoy. Visited the farmer's market on Saturday morning and the candle shop downtown. Enjoyable weekend and can't wait to go back. And don't forget to look at the photo book on the coffee table in the loft- it will give you a deeper appreciation of where you are staying.
