Quaint and quiet
As a VRBO owner/landlord, myself, this is the first time I have been a renter. It was interesting to be on the other side of things. I actually, initially, found the contact confusing. I could not tell if I was getting an automated response from VRBO, or was I getting something directly from the owner. The check-in paperwork/instructions were a little legalistic, but once I actually checked in they were easy to follow. I never saw another human being until we were leaving as we checked out. On the one hand, that made it private and quiet, on the other hand I wasn't sure there was anyone around should we need something. And, the instructions made it clear that I was not to make contact with anyone unless there was an emergency. The unit was clean, but very cold with only a small space heater. The queen bed was a little too soft for us, with a memory foam topper that was just a bit to thick. The biggest problem, for me, was the odor. It smelled moldy or mildewy, and it was strong from the moment I walked in. It made me a little nervous as to what we were breathing while sleeping. The price was extremely reasonable, which, along with location, was why we picked it. However, I am not sure we will rent again because of the moldy smell.
