Decent place for the money
Pros: the apartment felt clean upon arrival. It's not too far from the city (30 minutes to downtown). Loved being able to have our dogs, including a fenced-in area for them to roam. The host left us wine to enjoy, which came in handy for New Years. Cons: the owner's dogs could be quite loud if they sensed us outside (or our dogs). There were dozens of ladybugs flying around. There is no door on the one bedroom, so any noise can be heard from downstairs and vice versa. There's no microwave or dishwasher in the unit. The grounds felt like they could be kept up better; there were dog items and debris strewn about the entrance. A comforter had been left in the dryer not dried, so it smelled pretty terrible. Overall, it's a decent place to stay. If you're coming as a couple with your dogs, it'll be great. Not recommended for more than 2 people, or 2 people who want different bedrooms, because the only other sleeping option is a futon at the base of the stairs. Would really benefit from a microwave. It was also very frustrating getting the place booked--tried 3 times before the owner finally responded within the required 24 hour period, which added some headache to our trip. We chose this place for the view, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to step on the porch to enjoy it, so I'm not sure if that would've added a more positive impression. Would recommend to those trying to save some money and have a place to bring dogs.
