Cute, intimate getaway near the ocean
This cottage is charming in its aesthetics and how it's nestled into the trees. We loved the fireplace, the windows, the porch, and it's all around coziness. The proximity to the park was wonderful and we enjoyed the walk to the beach. If the tiny house movement interests you, this is a great place get a feel of what a larger tiny hone is like. Plan to bring a robe as there aren't coverings for all the windows/doors downstairs and the wet bathroom is located on the first floor. The neighbors are closer than I anticipated from the description. It's delightfully placed with an enchanting trail under tall trees and ferns to the house--I just wished for some more curtains. A fix that would be simple with some curtains and maybe the owner has in the works. Towels are provided, but wash cloths were not, so bring your own. The shower is a one person wet shower. If you're someone who appreciates fine craftsmanship and top quality in all aspects of the house and amenities, know this is hand built, rustic, and a cabiny get away. The craftsmanship wasn't finish carpentry, but the house is charming and cozy. So keep that in mind when you go. The website mentions a price increase, I think the $99 we pains was the right price for it. We enjoyed our time and expect we'll go back sometime.
