Such a beautiful home
We stayed here for a week in late June. It's such a beautiful home up in a quiet and nice neighborhood. Guy is such a wonderful host and person. He met us and did a quick walk through and was super informative about the home and things to do. The house is even more exquisite in person. It's just stunning. It's at the edge of a cul de sac over looking the mountains. It was still warm, so the cooler nights were refreshing. I brought a light jacket, but never needed more than a light long sleeve shirt. The house is very clean, comfy beds and has everything you need. We spent a lot of time in the tv room off the 3rd bedroom. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed a movie on the wall in the movie room. We stayed on the coast a few days before and were a little worried about driving into the mountains while staying in Hawaii, but it was so wonderful! We drove around almost everyday. We went over to the Waipio Valley, up to Hawi (beautiful ranches along mountain drive), all the way down to the south point and green beach (amazing day trip we'll never forget. Must have a 4 wheel drive to make it worth it), over near Kona to the gorgeous beaches at A Bay and Hapuna State Park. The only thing we didn't get to do was go to the summit of Mauna Kea. It's actually an hour and half drive, since you have to drive around the backside of the mountain. There's great food spots nearby. Yong's Kalbi has amazing plate lunches. Highly recommend the Meat Jun with Korean chicken and fried mandoo. Village Burger and Hawaiian Style Cafe were great. Los Tres Mex has wonderful Mexican food. Plenty of Grocery stores, Waimea coffee shop was wonderful, a nearby park for our daughter, farmers market, etc. Everything was just a quick drive and we got to experience so much staying on this side of the island. Don't even hesitate. This is an insanely beautiful home and so quiet and relaxing. Oh yeah, don't forget to feed the turkeys everyday in the front yard. What a treat. :)
Executive home with spectacular Mauna Kea views!
