The property was as described. Our biggest problem was the heat/airconditioning.
The weather was cool and rainy when we arrived for our three week rental. Sam was helpful; we got extra blankets & thought that was the end of the problem. Then the weather changed to unseasonably warm, making one member of our party feel cold all the time; then things normalized; he was feeling better and company returned home. This was when we realized it wasn't just us, but that we were not able to control the temperature at all; it was always on the warm side; the weather had also turned unseasonably warm. Contacted Sam once again; he came and checked it out right away, and called his airconditioning man, who wasn't able to come by for 3 days. Chandler cools down well at night, so by opening windows and using a fan we were able to sleep. The evenings were uncomfortable, tho. Sam passed our problem along to Jon, the manager, and he credited us one night's rent back. We really felt we should have received at least two nights credit since it was an ongoing problem over our stay; in all honesty did not complain about that, so can't say they wouldn't have refunded two nights. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay; wasn't the best neighborhood or nicest looking complex, but we felt safe and it was close to downtown Chandler, which was great. Beds were comfy, though one room had twin captains beds & when 2 adults had to sleep there they found them hard to get in/out of. Living room couch was very uncomfortable for adults, which left only a leather love seat and really not enough seating for the number of people the condo was advertised for. Same for outside seating; had to request extra chairs so we could all sit around the table outside. Kitchen chairs are large and not easily moved. No games or activities were provided. There were plenty of fry pans, but the only saucepan was a scratched up teflon that we did not feel safe using. Also, the electric BBQ provided was filthy, there was no brush to clean it, so we never used it. I'm sure Sam would have brought over a brush, but again we didn't notify him of this, as it wasn't much of a problem for us. We knew there was a community pool, and the grandkids who visited from wintery weather were very disappointed to find it was not heated so the water was cold, but also, we would have to haul chairs/anything else to the pool, making it inconvenient to say the least & absolutely no amenities at the pool. Lots of small irritations, but we did enjoy our stay here!
