Comfortable Stay + Great Location
We stayed in this condo for three nights in February while we were house hunting in the Phoenix area. The location is perfect as it is a 6-minute drive to Old Town Scottsdale and less than 10-minute drive to get on the 101. Not sure if there is anything walking distance as we opted to drive whenever we went anywhere. The unit is located within an older, but well maintained, complex (the El Chaparral). The unit itself has been completely renovated with very nice finishes and has been comfortably furnished. Everything you could need for a short- or long-term trip was right there within the unit (kitchen ware and utensils, bath towels, etc.). There is a very nicely furnished deck with two points of access from either bedroom or living room. This creates a nice breeze through the unit. The rental comes with a covered parking space that is a good proximity to the unit. Only complaints would be 1) the shower doesn't seem to get quite hot enough, but perhaps that is to prevent someone from burning themselves; and 2) be cautious when leaving the sliders to the deck open for long periods, especially overnight, as the cigarette smoke from neighbors nearby will quickly stink up the unit. There is a bit of road noise when the sliders are left open, which is to be expected since it is located on a main road. Overall, it is a great rental and we would consider staying in the unit again.
