Cleaning policy ruins the whole thing
The owners seem to have forgotten that people come here for vacation. There is a cleaning fee, but nonetheless we had found out we were expected not only to remove all the sheets from our beds on our last day, but worse - dispose of the garbage! The disposal facility is 3 miles away and closed on Sundays, when most people would check out. So we had to take our garbage in the car with us until we found a place to dispose of it, or face a $50 penalty. Who wants to deal with the garbage when you check out? Why do the guests need to spend an hour on their last morning cleaning the cabin, and still pay the cleaning fee? This ruins the entire vacation concept to me, and it's a shame because the cabin itself was very nice. But who can even remember that after being stuck in the car with 2 smelly garbage bags?...
