Not forgotten...
It has been more than three months since my visit to Charleston but the memories of my time there have grown. The occasion for my visit was to celebrate my younger sister's 50th Birthday, and enjoy all that Charleston has to offer a tourist. Well, we were not disappointed! Charleston has the charm we were looking for, great food, friendly people and deep seated history. During our short visit we bicycled all around the town, ate great food..shopped in the market, took a carriage ride and learned so much about the old plantation families and many events that happened in Charleston......and the people!...so welcoming and full of southern charm. In addition our trip was enhanced by finding the most awesome accommodations in the French Quarter area of the city. The first moment I saw the photos on VRBO I knew this was the place for us. The comfortable relaxed atmosphere, the warm colors and spaciousness of the apartment in a historical building was so inviting. Not to mention the absolute perfect location! Within walking distance to all points of interest . When I called Robert to inquire about availability his genuine concern to help make our dream trip a reality was apparent. He was very understanding and accommodating; calling and following up with me on several occasions to make suggestions about things to see and do and availed himself to me in order to answer any questions I may have had. When we arrived at the apartment after walking past the old brick in the hallway... put the key in the beautiful old lock and walked in...we took a step back in time. 20' ceilings, large windows opened out over the cobblestone streets, a canopy bed, large old desks, period furniture pieces....THIS would be our "home' for a short...sweet... while. Charleston, I will be back.. Thank you Robert
