In the heart of it all
What a wonderful experience being in such a beautiful apartment. The photos do not do the property justice. The rooftop garden was an absolute delight with mornings beginning with coffee whilst lounging in the Adirondack chairs. We also enjoyed the fire pit and sipped on wine in the evening. The location of the apartment is well suited for those who wish to be close to everything in downtown Victoria. There is street noise that can be heard in the bedrooms and if you're not used to city noise it might be annoying. The best part of being in the heart of it all was that we were able to easily walk to pubs, restaurants, shopping, fresh markets, theatre, and the waterfront. The apartment was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need to prepare your own food. The layout of the living/dining room was quite comfortable. The upstairs yoga/exercise/bedroom allowed for additional "get away" space. The bedrooms were spacious and the entire apartment has zoned heating so everyone can decide what their room temperature will be in their space. Heather and Tim were gracious hosts. Heather greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel welcome. Their suggestions regarding sightseeing and where to eat were spot on. When we experienced a problem with the television in the second bedroom (Shaw changed their digital feed requirements) their response was to swiftly make it right. Check out The Drake pub less than a minute walk from the apartment. If you like to cook-Chinatown is across the street and the Fisgard Market has great produce. The Victoria Public Market is less than five minutes walking distance away and the vendor selection there is worth the walk. Just walk a two block circle around the MEC building and you can find great shopping, dining and entertainment. I highly recommend this apartment.
