Some things were very nice, basics were not. Left a day early.
While there were definite very nice touches, many of the basics were just not there. We let our hosts know that this was not a fit for us, but others may feel different,, & I suspect staying in the summer might have been a different experience. Fridge was countertop size, & couldn't hold the contents of our little cooler. Kitchen has paper plates, & minimal cook wear/utensils. Because of cool weather, outside wooden shutters were closed leaving the place too dark to read in the daytime. Place was a little cool, but she remedied by coming in with new space heaters while we were out, despite our request that it wasn't needed. Shower wasn't. ( read unmounted hand held spray attachment- read water everywhere) roads in & out were challenging for non experienced mountain drivers. Nothing nearby, except a tavern across the street. Wasn't feeling it. We've been travelling around the US & Canada since Aug, & it's fair to say this was over-priced. Place was clean, had some expensive touches, but missed the basics. I trust the hosts took action on recommended improvements.
