Super view & bldg., NICE bath & bed (in spite of no photos on listing), quiet, not 100% spic-'n-span
View off large, comfy balcony is excellent... lotsa surf to be seen, PLUS pretty views of the impeccably-maintained garden landscaping, PLUS a good glimpse-view of the giant salt-water pool fronting the building, PLUS if you look off left you get wonderful territorial hillside views. I just adored the salt-water pool -- (one of two; there is a "regular/normal" swimming pool as well tucked into the lush landscaping)... so hypnotizing... you feel like a kid again with the buoyant salt water lifting you up and shedding dozens of pounds away. The pool is a gigantic round circle. Simple. Soothing. Meditative. And FUN. Try it! Casa De Emdecko is an awesome building. Smartly designed and constructed. Lovely 100%-tidy "common areas" all over the place with comfortable seating and beautiful things to look at. Great for travelers wanting to read a book elsewhere besides in their unit, or wanting to meet other folks. The unit itself is great! Tasteful decor, plenty of space. Take your choice of a two-person kitchen-counter bar-stool arrangement, or a small two-person dining table with chairs, or (of course!) the nice big table and chairs on the balcony. Kitchen is stuffed with everything you might want... a bit TOO stuffed, actually -- a bit annoying to paw through all the things. No corkscrew, though! We bought one and left it there. :) Why doesn't the management company show a photo on the listing of the VERY NICE, large, pretty bedroom? Queen bed, medium-firm, just right for me. Beautiful coverlet and good pillows. Ample space for suitcases, etc. Reading lamps on large bedside stands -- both sides of bed. Giant closet with plenty of hangers. Bathroom is deluxe (for my tastes!): double sinks, huge mirror, well-lit, immense soaking tub, separate shower stall, good-drawing fan. And enough extra towels for an army! Noise level while in the unit was excellent. Out on the balcony, you can clearly hear your neighbor's every word when they are out on their balcony; but...who cares? Downsides are few: kinda goofy parking lot spaces strewn around; first-come, first-served. Unit's carpet is badly in need of replacement. (However, so is MINE, here, back at home... an expensive undertaking). There are lotsa stains on the carpet. And we found one big (but quite dead) bug behind the sofa. Lint and dust apparent in many places... furniture not moved often, for example, when vacuumed. Blinds were bent. Not as 100% spic 'n span as some might want; we were fine with it!
