Perfect for a week in Cullowhee
We needed a place to stay while attending a wilderness medicine conference at the nearby Landmark Learning Center. It was great to come home to the cabin everyday and make our own meals. Everything seemed new, well-kept and clean, and nicely decorated. It was relatively spacious, especially with the large deck in front. The sunsets were beautiful. Even though the property is very private, it is still above the football stadium, so one evening we were treated to band practice, but all was quiet by 9pm. Also, being up on the mountainside, the access road is quite steep and has a few potholes: we were definitely happy we had our all wheel drive car, and I would be nervous if there were a chance of snow or ice. The actual driveway to the cabin is new and in excellent condition. What could improve the rental is a few more functional pots and pans, knives and other cooking utensils. The gas logs are a nice touch and provided welcome warmth after a day in the rain. The linens, towels and cleaning supplies were ample and of fine quality. Also, the wifi connection was good, so even though there was no TV (a good thing) we could still watch shows or movies on our i-pads if we wanted to. We will definitely stay a Cody's Cabin again if we need to go back to Cullowhee.
