Beyond Dog Friendly
First of all I have been renting from Homeaway for over 10 years and have to say Linda and Mark were the friendliest and easiest owners to work with yet. They made us feel welcome before we even got there and more welcome with the dog gifts and note upon arrival after a long car drive. When we had a minor problem with the DVD player Mark came the next morning to perform an exorcism to remove Jeff Bridges from the player (inside joke). Also they did not charge extra for arranging a bear visit one morning. In our travels we have found there is a difference between "accepting dogs" and being "dog friendly". It is very comforting knowing that the owners of the property understand and appreciate the joy of having your dog along on vacation. When you visit the chalet you will know what I mean. But this is not to diminish the human friendly features of the chalet. From the wonderful bedding and handy wine cooler to the fabulous views and sunsets from the deck the chalet has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Especially if you like to eat your meals outside as we do, this place is perfect. Lastly the central location of Jackson is near all the "sexy" shops, sights, and hikes of the White Mountains. But its location also allows you to explore the less traveled but no less enjoyable streams and trails accessible from Evans Notch (Rt 16 North to Rt. 2 East to Rt. 113 South). Enjoy all who visit. Just don't take up our week for next year. Glenn, Debbie, and Haley (dog and hiking/swimming enthusiast) Lancaster County, Pa.
