Welcome to River Vista!
You’ll feel a sense of calm wash over you upon arrival at this cozy cottage. Enjoy evening drinks and morning coffee on the covered front deck, where you can take in the fabulous river views and watch local wildlife. If you time it right, you may see a heron fishing or the resident eagles circling overhead as they hunt. Hummingbirds are also frequent visitors. The front deck runs the full width of the cottage, and the unobstructed view is fabulous. You do not want to miss it!
The cottage is very well laid out with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and an open concept kitchen/dining/living room. There is also a half bathroom, with laundry, in another building — just steps away from the back door. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second and third bedrooms each have two twins, which can be combined for a king size bed (bedding available to convert!). The bathroom in the cottage is newly renovated and has a stand-up shower and a large vanity with storage. The kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking needs, or you can use the new propane barbecue instead! Once your meal is cooked, you can enjoy it at the large dining room table, or on the deck. Either way the view is great! The large round table is also a wonderful spot to play family games or build puzzles.
At the end of your day at the beach or other family fun, you can get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy your own quiet space. The cottage is situated on a double lot in a quiet subdivision, with lots of room for kids and parents alike to enjoy some down time or outdoor activities. The trees behind the cottage screen you from most of the cottages at the back, which is perfect for those who like their privacy!
River Vista is only 10 minutes to all of the amenities and attractions of Cavendish and only 5 minutes from picturesque Stanley Bridge — another area with good restaurants, a harbour where you can buy fresh seafood and water sports. It’s also only 12 minutes to the West to Kensington with more shopping and dining, including Broadway 45, Island Stone Pub and The Home Place. In the other direction you will find Rustico, where there are more grocery, restaurant, and shopping options. If you are interested in visiting a bigger centre, it’s about 30 minutes to Summerside and 40 minutes to Charlottetown. For a really old-fashioned outing, see what’s playing at the Brackley Drive-In Theatre, about 30 minutes away.+ More
