This is the perfect cabin for a ski getaway, a romantic weekend, family vacation or holiday retreat. The cabin is just steps away from the most serene spot on the Greenwater River.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area. Indulge in the many activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer like skiing, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing or hanging out at the local swimming hole on a sunny afternoon.
This charming mountain cabin is located just 15 miles outside the Sunrise Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park and 20 minutes to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. Go snowshoeing on the many trails just minutes away or spend a day skiing or snowboarding at Crystal Mountain Ski Area. Ride the Gondola to the top and enjoy one of the most spectacular views of Mt. Rainier either in the winter or summer. Enjoy the view while dining at the Summit House. Return home and relax in the hot tub or in front of the wood-stove while watching a movie, playing games or just enjoying time with the family.
Enjoy the beautiful outdoors while you roast marshmallows around the fire pit or cook a meal on the outdoor grill. Feel free to explore or create your own adventure; there are plenty of hiking trails and places to explore right out the backdoor. It is not uncommon to see a heard of our local Elk walking through the property, enjoy them from a distance but please do not feed them - leave them wild.
Stop in and say hi to the Grubb family who have owned and operated our local favorite coffee and gift shop “Wapati Woolies” for several decades. The Huckleberry ice cream is worth waiting in line for on a hot summer day! This is a one of a kind gift shop that caters to winter and summer sports enthusiasts year round.
Within walking distance you will find a small grocery store fuel station, a Snowboard shop, a Tavern and of course Wapati Woolies. The gas station and small grocery store have limited supplies so please pick up necessities on the way to the cabin.
We look forward to your stay in our family retreat and enjoy it as much as our family has for years.+ More
