Our spacious log cabin is nestled in its own private woodland, overlooking the Port Medway River; it offers deep tranquility, mesmerising views and expansive star lit skies, most nights. It is a perfect retreat space to either write that book, canoe along the river and or simply get away to rest, recharge and feel inspired. The master bedroom is spacious and open planned, taking up the whole upstairs, it boasts a very comfortable king size bed with feather duvet should you need it, plus an ensuite toilet with sink. There are 2 balconies with French doors at either end and the views are spectacular from there. There is a sofa bed for afternoon siestas and the space lends itself well for yoga and meditation or creative writing and art. Downstairs on the ground floor you will find the second twin bedroom that leads into the large shared shower/bathroom and jaccuzi room, both the bedroom and bathroom have French doors leading onto the patio.
There is a 3rd downstairs wash room for guests. The kitchen is cosy but well equipped, including a Nutra Bullet for morning shakes plus a drip coffee and hob espresso coffee machine.
The dining room would comfortably sit 6-8 people should you wish to entertain and enjoys views through the sitting room out onto the patio and beyond to the river.
The sitting room is spacious with a cosy wood burning stove in the corner and in the summer French doors opening onto the patio. We do have wifi and have set up a projector that you can connect to your computer and enjoy watching movies on the large screen, if you so wish. We do not have TV.
It's incredibly relaxing here if that is what you need and are looking for, with a sunken jacuzzi at your fingertips it certainly allows you to do so. However there is also the opportunity to be active too, with wonderful beaches and forest walks, foraging, when in season, and of course playing in and on the water, there are also many beautiful places to explore around the area, and so very inspiring at the same time. The view across the river is breathtaking at any time of day or weather and for this alone it's a beautiful place to enjoy alone, create a romantic getaway and or share with your family for a fun nature based holiday.
It is surrounded by over 40 acres of private woodland, and a water jetty for easy canoe/boat access.
There is a large open deck for outside dining, with lots of space for yoga and even rebounding.
Only a 5 minute drive away you can enjoy the local communities Port Grocers /Cafe, which has become quite the hubbub, it sells all the basics needs , should you run out of something and on Friday Nights they create is a live music social which is great fun, plus their Sunday Brunch is very popular. Liverpool town is only 15 minutes drive away and has a charing old local cinema, tennis courts and a great pub/guest house called "Lanes - Privateer Inn". Not much further that way is White Point Beach Resort, which is great for finer dining and brunch etc.... And then there is Bridgwater just 30 minutes in the other direction and great for larger supermarket shopping, with Sobey's and Atlantic Supermarket supplying a relatively good organic section. From May through to October there are quite a few organic markets to buy local fresh produce and local fish.+ More
